JANUARY

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is observed on the third Monday in January as a “day on, not a day off”. MLK Day is the first federal holiday to be designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

SHIELD Inc. annually participates in the 

ANNUAL MLK WEEKEND OF SERVICE

Sat. prior to MLK Day: 

Community  Blanket Give-A-Way

Mon. – MLK Day of Service:

Donations of: Sheets, Towels, Detergent, Cleaning Supplies, and / or Household Goods, etc. are delivered to a local Women’s Domestic Violence Shelter.

Additional Donations:Diapers, baby wipes, diaper disposal bags, Dreft detergent, baby blankets and baby cloths(all sizes).

NOVEMBER

SHIELD Inc in partner with Morongo Band of Mission Indians and a local church, prepares and distributes food boxes and turkeys to the community.

DECEMBER

SHIELD Inc. annually participates in providing Christmas gifts to the women and children of a local Women’s Domestic Violence Shelter.
